Build and Design of the HP Z840 Workstation

The HP Z840 is built to provide high-end calculation and display. The Z840 HP enables the user to get the performance needed to support two new generation Intel Xeon E5-2600 V3 processor cores on a total of 44 systems.

The sides have a beautiful brushed aluminum with HP printed on the metal. This is surrounded by an incognito black bezel. The HP Z840 has two grips at the top to facilitate transportation of this heavy equipment.

The Z840 has a tool-less chassis, which is rather heavy compared to other desktop video editing due to possible upgrades and maintenance.

HP Z840 has a grooved face with a DVD-RW in the middle. Here is a memory card reader. On the front, there are four USB 3.0 ports with power and the reset button and auxiliary input and output.

The right side of the tower has a handle that releases the door.

Once opened, the HP Z840 has everything without tools in a very nice and smooth plastic cover. The user can easily change the memory, CPUs, disks, and video cards simply by clicking on one or two tabs.

The internal components are protected by strategically placed plastic covers to maintain efficient airflow and direct it to where it is needed. The processors are cooled with multiple fans directing the air to and from each one, each processor has its own fan and three side extractors.

The chassis also features a low built-in Dual Gb Acousto Ethernet and can be 5U locked and packed. It also accommodates 5 PCIe Gen3 and 2 PCIe Gen2, 16 DIMM slots, 10 drive bays, 6 SATA SAS / 8 ports, one 15-way card reader 1, four USB3 front-mount USB chargers and four USB 3.0 -Ports and two USB 2.0 ports on the back for multiple connections.
